website ^_^v

Website

website, also written Web site,[1] web site, or simply site,[2] is a collection of related web pages containing images, videos or other digital assets. A website is hosted on at least one web server, accessible via a network such as the Internet or a private local area network through an Internet address known as a Uniform Resource Locator. All publicly accessible websites collectively constitute the World Wide Web.
A web page is a document, typically written in plain text interspersed with formatting instructions of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML, XHTML). A web page may incorporate elements from other websites with suitable markup anchors.
Web pages are accessed and transported with the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), which may optionally employ encryption (HTTP Secure, HTTPS) to provide security and privacy for the user of the web page content. The user's application, often a web browser, renders the page content according to its HTML markup instructions onto a display terminal.
The pages of a website can usually be accessed from a simple Uniform Resource Locator (URL) called the homepage. The URLs of the pages organize them into a hierarchy, although hyperlinking between them conveys the reader's perceived site structure and guides the reader's navigation of the site.
Some websites require a subscription to access some or all of their content. Examples of subscription websites include many business sites, parts of news websites, academic journal websites, gaming websites, file-sharing websites, message boards, web-based email, social networking websites, websites providing real-time stock market data, and websites providing various other services (e.g. websites offering storing and/or sharing of images, files and so forth).

Overview

Organized by function, a website may be
It could be the work of an individual, a business or other organization, and is typically dedicated to some particular topic or purpose. Any website can contain a hyperlink to any other website, so the distinction between individual sites, as perceived by the user, may sometimes be blurred.
Websites are written in, or dynamically converted to, HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and are accessed using a software interface classified as a user agent. Web pages can be viewed or otherwise accessed from a range of computer-based and Internet-enabled devices of various sizes, including desktop computers, laptops, PDAs and cell phones.
A website is hosted on a computer system known as a web server, also called an HTTP server, and these terms can also refer to the software that runs on these systems and that retrieves and delivers the web pages in response to requests from the website users. Apache is the most commonly used web server software (according to Netcraft statistics) and Microsoft's Internet Information Services (IIS) is also commonly used.

Static website

A static website is one that has web pages stored on the server in the format that is sent to a client web browser. It is primarily coded in Hypertext Markup Language, HTML.
Simple forms or marketing examples of websites, such as classic website, a five-page website or a brochure website are often static websites, because they present pre-defined, static information to the user. This may include information about a company and its products and services via text, photos, animations, audio/video and interactive menus and navigation.
This type of website usually displays the same information to all visitors. Similar to handing out a printed brochure to customers or clients, a static website will generally provide consistent, standard information for an extended period of time. Although the website owner may make updates periodically, it is a manual process to edit the text, photos and other content and may require basic website design skills and software.
In summary, visitors are not able to control what information they receive via a static website, and must instead settle for whatever content the website owner has decided to offer at that time.
They are edited using four broad categories of software:
  • Text editors, such as Notepad or TextEdit, where content and HTML markup are manipulated directly within the editor program
  • WYSIWYG offline editors, such as Microsoft FrontPage and Adobe Dreamweaver (previously Macromedia Dreamweaver), with which the site is edited using a GUI interface and the final HTML markup is generated automatically by the editor software
  • WYSIWYG online editors which create media rich online presentation like web pages, widgets, intro, blogs, and other documents.
  • Template-based editors, such as RapidWeaver and iWeb, which allow users to quickly create and upload web pages to a web server without detailed HTML knowledge, as they pick a suitable template from a palette and add pictures and text to it in a desktop publishing fashion without direct manipulation of HTML code.

e'clair

Éclair (pastry)

Classical Éclair
Éclairs are most commonly served as a dessert
An éclair is a pastry made with choux dough filled with a cream and topped with icing.
The dough, which is the same as that used for profiterole, is piped into an oblong shape with a pastry bag and baked until it is crisp and hollow inside. Once cool, the pastry then is filled with a coffee- or chocolate-flavoured[1] pastry cream (crème pâtissière), custard, whipped cream, or chiboust cream; and iced with fondant icing.[2] Other fillings include pistachio- and rum-flavoured custard, fruit-flavoured fillings, or chestnut purée. The icing is sometimes caramel, in which case the dessert may be called a bâton de Jacob.[3]
Other old variants use petit four dough.

Etymology

The word éclair comes directly from a French word whose chief meaning is "lightning" or "flash of lightning." No one is sure why a pastry was named after lightning. Some say the lightness of the cream puff and its soft filling is the reason for the name. Perhaps more likely its richness

History of the éclair

The éclair probably originated in France during the nineteenth century. It is a popular type of cake served all over the world. The word is first attested both in English and in French in the 1860s.[5][6] Some food historians speculate that éclairs were first made by Antonin Carême (1784–1833), the famous French chef.[citation needed] The first known English-language recipe for éclairs appears in the Boston Cooking School Cook Book by Mrs. D.A. Lincoln, published in 1884.
Éclair is French for "lightning," though the connection is obscure.

Outside France

In some parts of the United States, Long Johns are marketed under the name éclairs, though the two are not identical. A Long John uses donut pastry and is typically filled with vanilla pudding, making it a simpler and inexpensive alternative to the éclair.

full gamer

When legends of gaming join forces, usually the result is something amazing. At least this holds true, with most games on all the popular gaming platforms, and especially when Super Mario  games are concerned. Granted, there have been less successful titles in the collection of Super Mario games, but never really bad ones, or worse, complete failures.
I am happy to see that this holds true for Super Mario games on the PC as well, where I had a thorough look at Fantastic Trio, a platform game after  the finest Super Mario Games tradition, only this time you get to choose to play as Super Mario the Italian Plumber, The ultra fast Hedgehog: Sonic, or Disney’s prime champion: Aladdin.  With names like these, surely a game featuring them, must be something else. Well, I am happy to report it is not.
Fantastic Trio upholds the same quality as any classic Super Mario game, with all the exciting elements from the collecting of the coins to the squashing of your enemies by jumping them.
Needless to say that unlike its classic role models like Super Mario World, this game is a lot younger, and it shows. The graphics are simply amazing, and our three heroes have never looked this good on any computer screen, with sounds that could be coming straight from your CD or DVD player.
I think everybody gets the idea, that Fantastic Trio is indeed a fantastic game, that holds true to the original and addictive game play, its role models adhered to and is every bit as good, only with better looking graphics, and excellent sounding music.
The only minor complaint I could make against this otherwise excellent arcade game, would be that especially the first levels could have been made more challenging, as I  found them to be a bit easy to conquer.
Once again this shows the tremendous improvements flash arcade games are going through, especially when Super Mario games are concerned. Currently we are even seeing flash based multiplayer games hitting the market, so it won’t be long until we will see a multiplayer Super Mario game, emerge, which will be the point, that PC Super Mario games will take on a life of their own.
Of course Fantastic Trio is available on the established Super Mario games arcade sites, along with many more excellent titles, including all the classic Super Mario Games!
I enjoyed playing Fantastic Trio quite a lot, and can recommend this free to play arcade platform game to any fan of the Super Mario Games, but also to those that have enjoyed the Sonic games and to a lesser extend the Aladdin games from Disney. In fact the ones that enjoyed playing Tarzan on the Playstation consoles, will be pleasantly surprised as well
In an age, where video games seem to get released more and more for console gaming only it is good to see PC gamers striking back with free arcade Super Mario games, that are improving at the speed of light!
It won’t be long now until us decent PC gamers will say “screw the consoles”, we got better games for free, and what a glorious day that is going to be for all PC gamers worldwide!

fawful

The villain Fawful, better known in Japan as Gerakobits, is one of the villains that keeps reappearing in the Mario and Luigi series of the Super Mario Games collection. He made his first appearance in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, as one of the servants of Cackletta, an evil witch who was after the “Beanstar” at the time. In Mario & Luigi: Partners in time he reappears as a store owner. He was last seen in 2009 in Bowser’s Inside story, the last installment of the Mario & Luigi series, where he starred as the main villain of the game.
Fawful was originally created my Masanari Sato and altered for the English audiences by Bill Trinen and Nate Bihldorff, of the US department of Nintendo. Fawful, became popular fast, due to his catchy one-liners, like “I have fury!” and “Fink rat!”
Since his debut in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Fawful is known for his one liners, spoken in typical broken English, and he typically refers to himself in the 3rd person. As villains go, Fawful is a small player in the Super Mario Games universe, yet he still is one of the most popular ones, and whenever he appears in a game his one-liners will gain a following that spread throughout the Internet. Fawful is a servant of Cackletta, to whom he is loyal. In Mario & Luigi: partners in time, he appears as a store owner who trades beans for extreme badges, but only the young versions of Super Mario and Luigi, are able to enter. Throughout the game, it is explained that Fawful used the store to hide, and come up with a place to take revenge on the Mario brothers to whom he refers to as “Red Stache & Green Stache”. In the last installment of the Mario & Luigi series, he is the one causing the brothers to end up in Bowser’s stomach, and also the cause for infecting the citizens of Toad Town with the “Blorbs”. Fawful intended to take over Mushroom world, by using the power of the dark star, ultimately getting his revenge on the Super Mario brothers. Eventually he is defeated and blows up.
Since his first appearance, Fawful only received positive receptions, and ranks as the number seven on the favorite villains list. It is safe to say that though he is only a minor villain, Fawful is one of the most memorable villains in the universe of the Super Mario games, as was created by Nintendo. His particular way of speaking, often referred to as “broken Japanese game speak” added humor to the games, and contributed greatly to the overall entertainment factor of the games.
Given the fact that Fawful blew up in the last installment of the Mario & Luigi series, it remains to be seen if we will ever hear from the loveable villain again, or if Nintendo in their wisdom has decided to bury the character forever.
Fans of the games, at least are hoping see more of Fawful in the near future, so let’s hope Nintendo listens to their fans.

Mario Bombs Away!

Mario: Bombs Away was one of the Super Mario Games that were created as a standalone hand held game, and was released in 1983. And because of this date falls in the classic Super Mario games category.
Years later, the Super Mario game was added to the popular “Game and watch” packages that were released for the Nintendo Game boy Color and the Nintendo Game Boy Advanced. Since Mario: Bombs Away, was originally created as a standalone handheld game, this is one of the lesser known Super Mario Games, yet it holds all the typical addictive features, typically associated with Super Mario Games. However, this may soon change, as this title has also emerged on the Super Mario Arcade gaming scene.
The objective of this Super Mario game is to have Military Mario drop bombs, from left to right, without hitting oil spills and torches of his enemies. While this is a very simple concept, the game actually proves to be very addictive in game play, which makes it for all intends and purposes a worthy addition to the Super Mario games collection.
For this Super Mario game our hero dropped his famous red overall, and cap, in order to replace it with military gear and helmet, which was a rare and unique occasion, as it does not happen very often that we get to see the charismatic hero of the Super Mario games, without the tenue he has become famous for, But Mario Bombs away, certainly is one of those rare occasions.
Currently the Super Mario: Bombs away game is available on the Internet, as a flash game you can play for free in any browser, and on any platform, as long as the device you are playing on is capable of establishing an Internet connection and browse the World wide web. The game can be found at the better arcade gaming sites, especially those that are dedicated to offering Super Mario games.
Originally the game was played on a LCD handheld console, where the player used the built in mirror to view the action, obviously on a regular PC, or Internet capable device this will not be required, and the game plays just like any other Super Mario game, that will run in your browser.
Mario: Bombs Away, is the perfect example of a Super Mario Game, that has been ported to the PC, looking better than ever, while retaining all of its unique qualities, surpassing the original game. The fact that just like all the other Super Mario games, that have been ported to the PC, Mario Bombs away is free to play, makes this version the most popular one, even surpassing the Game and watch series that were released for the Nintendo Game Boy advanced.
Overall, Mario Bombs away, is one of the more simple Super Mario Games, that would in these modern times, rather classify as a Super Mario Mini game, rather than a fully fledged Super Mario game, however, the game is still good for hours of clean arcade gaming fun, and therefore deserves its own review.

The fact that the Super Mario games have arrived on regular pc games, and other internet capable devices, is something that has become common knowledge, but mostly regarding the classic Super Mario games.
Lesser known is the fact that new Super Mario games are being released almost on a daily basis. That’s right brand new adventures of our hero, and in all popular gaming genres.
Besides the classic Super Mario games, that will play in your browser, there are Super Mariofighting games, Super Mario racing games, and of course super Mario platform games all starring the little Italian plumber, in new adventures the world has never seen before. This is merely a small selection of available gaming genres, starring Super Mario, as literally every gaming category imaginable is present, on the better arcade gaming sites, dedicated to offering Super Mario games.
At the same time the classic Super Mario games have been getting makeovers, and are being re-released, with smoother game play, better graphics, and perhaps most important more levels! In fact, Classic Super Mario games, have never before looked as good as they do on the PC, and best of all they are free to play!
The best place
The best place to find the free Super Mario games are as stated the dedicated Super Mario arcade gaming sites, because they specialize in Super Mario games, and will always feature the latest releases, for you to play!
It goes without saying that this is excellent news for us; the fans of all the Super Mario games, as this means that independent new games are being released without involvement from Nintendo. Now, this is not to state that Super Mario games, released by Nintendo are a bad thing, it is just good to see that we do not have to rely on just one company to be assured of fresh supplies of new Super Mario Games, because as true fans, we can never get enough of the adventures, our plumber hero engages in.
Over the last two years, a strong Super Mario gaming community has emerged, that can hold its own, which will ensure the arrival of an abundance of new Super Mario games, and with technology developing as fast as it is, we can expect great things from these releases, as it seems that with each new Super Mario game release for the pc, the quality of the games improves, by bounds and leaps.
In fact I would not be surprised that in two years from now, Nintendo would face serious competition from the free Super Mario games that are created for PC and other Internet capable devices!
The only question that remains will be, how will Nintendo respond to such a development? Will they embrace it and treat it like a great opportunity, or will they respond like traditional media companies responded to music and movie downloads and try to fight us every step of the way?
Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, at this rate, in just a few more months, the super Mario Games for PC, will become an unstoppable force, through sheer volume, regardless of Nintendo’s response.
